April 4th Volunteering at Kate’s Club Clubhouse

On April 04, 2026, I joined a few volunteers in supporting over 40 children at Kate’s Club Clubhouse  who were coping with the loss of a loved one. I was deeply moved by the organization and the meaningful difference it is making in the lives of children ages 5 through 15 as they navigate grief and difficult times.

One quote on a plaque displayed on the wall especially stood out to me. It was by Victoria Alexander: “There are three needs of the griever: to find the words for the loss, to say the words aloud, and to know that the words have been heard.”

These three needs are essential to processing grief, and organizations like Kate’s Club Clubhouse are playing a vital role in helping children heal from loss.
