Barry is Chief Entrepreneurial officer of Flink Inc a 33-year management consulting firm. The firm specializes in corporate funding, hospitality operational consulting, human resource management. Barry also has served as executive Vice President and Co-founder of Flex HR Inc. He currently serves as Fractional CEO’s and COO’s of several companies.
He has served in a number of corporate executive positions. Barry is Chief Operating Officer of Alumni Direct, LLC. Barry was Vice President Administration for Wells Fargo Armored Service Corporation. Barry was Senior Vice President of LEP Profit International, a global freight forwarder. Barry was a key player in the successful merger of Profit Freight Systems and LEP International. His management of Puerto Rico operations of LEP produced over $1M savings to the Corporation in 1994 resulting in the North American operation’s first profitable year in over a decade. Barry was COO for Hoffman & Company, an engineering firm based in Atlanta.
He has also held senior management positions with Service America Corporation in Atlanta, The
Greyhound/Dial Corporation in Phoenix, Westin Hotels & Resorts in Seattle, Intercontinental Hotels, and
BellSouth Corp.
Barry has core competencies in; hospitality Management (hotels, restaurants, institutional foodservice), human resources (employee relations, compensation, labor relations, management development, organizational development, and staffing) General Management (strategic planning, marketing, public relations, process management, urban infrastructure, leadership and, mergers & acquisitions) Barry is a public speaker on several topics including, human resources, infrastructure, multi-generational management, urban sociology and kidney transplants.
Barry was an Executive in Residence at Kennesaw State University. He has served on the Board of Directors of Coles Business College, Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business and Kennesaw State University. He also served on the Small Business Council of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce. He served on a St. Joseph’s Hospital Advisory Board and was nominated by the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce as small business person of the year. Barry is also active in several organizations which provide funding for startups and growing entrepreneurial businesses. Barry is a board member of the Atlanta Lion’s Club.
He has served as a guest lecturer at major universities in the United States and Canada and has published articles in several influential human resource journals and has authored a chapter of a college textbook, BUSINESS ACUMEN II.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Tech with a double major in management and psychology and a minor in urban sociology. His MBA studies were taken at Georgia State University and Georgia Tech. Barry is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honor society for business school graduates.
